Veterinary Wound healing Association Autumn Research
Symposium Online 13th October 2025
We have organized an Autumn online meeting to complement our spring conference at EWMA and to present current research on wound healing in companion animals. It was a very informative and interesting evening with input from small animal and equine specialists. The symposium was free for members and cost only € 15,- for non-members.
Following research has been presented and discussed:
- Autologous, free omentum grafts for large, open, distal limb wounds in dogs: Technique and outcome in 10 dogs, presented by Dr Wendy Baltzer
- The use of a novel nitric oxide wound dressing in acute traumatic wounds in dogs, presented by Dr Sarah Marvel.
- Diagnostic value of a point of care bacterial fluorescence imaging device for detecting wound infections in dogs and cats, presented by Prof. Jon Hall.
- Clinical use of fluorescence imaging in equine wound care, presented by Dr. Ulrika Lagerquist
- Physical treatment approach for disinfection and wound healing with cold atmospheric pressure plasma, presented by Dr Christoph Klinger
