The VWHA conference held in relation to the EWMA conference in Amsterdam on 04 May was a great success. We had a very full program on the relevant theme “The (non)sense of antimicrobials during wound treatment”, and the many well performed invited talks gave us a very nuanced view on this interesting topic. Further the conference had a free communication session where new and relevant veterinary research in wound healing was presented from no less than seven countries worldwide (picture). Winners of the best oral presentation for young scientists were veterinary student Jessica Firth from UK (on the left) and assistant professor Vincenzo Miragliotta from Italy (second from the right).
Approximately 70 persons participated in the VWHA conference, and their feedback showed very high satisfaction and yield from the conference. If you did not have the opportunity to attend the conference or if you like to read the presentations again: they are now online at the VWHA members section.
